Silent Auction

We are going to have a silent auction during the retreat! All money raised will be given to help publish the next issue of Above Rubies.

If you would like to take part in the fun, you can bring something nice that you have on hand at home to the auction. This can be something homemade or perhaps a gift that you were given that’s not a good fit for you. It doesn’t matter what it is or how much it costs, as long as it's in good shape and will be something other ladies would want to bid on.

Sample ideas:

• tea sets
• gift certificates
• gently used baby items
• homemade jam or jelly
• handmade crafts
• nice knick-knacks
• jewelry
• and etc...

During the retreat, anyone who wants to participate can make a bid on the item or items of her choice up to the cut off time. When the time is up, the person with the highest bid takes home the item. It can be a very fun time for everyone to see who wins each item. Not only will it be fun, but we can benefit a very worthy cause. The more issues of Above Rubies that go out, the more women can be encouraged and uplifted.
